Background & Requirement

Client is a luxury 25-storey hotel with restaurant, cafe, shopping centre, club and other facilities, 5th floor- 25 floor being guest rooms. In total there are 430 guest rooms including both luxury and standard rooms. The client requires that the system should be computer-controlled and provide at least 20 programs at the same time for different broadcasting points. Guest should be able to play any programs stored on the server through the terminal installed in the guess room. Zoning should be determined by its functions according to the nature of each floor. The system must cooperate with alarm system; System will be equipped with remote paging microphone which can support paging broadcast from different locations.

Hotel Solution Description

The hotel is separated into 430 points by paging broadcast, 26 zones by fire alarm broadcast. The system has following functions:
  • The hotel address system is built on exiting computer network; not additional transmission equipment and cabling are required. The system delivers over 20 channels of high-quality background music broadcasting. Light music is mainly for public areas to create delightful ambiance.
  • System is under centralized management and has multiple paging broadcast points like fire control room, service desk, to broadcast to the whole building, any floors, or any rooms. Under emergency, the system can be switched to whole-building alarm or neighbouring-floor alarm status according to the presetting.
  • Standard guest room is equipped with simplified terminal control panel installed on the nightstand. Occupant can select any one of 20 channels to play and control the volume. Luxury guest room is equipped with LCD terminal control panel which allows quest to play any programs.
  • Emergency communications, terminal control panel with buttons and microphone can talk with main control room.
