Background & Requirement

Large joint-venture business enterprise, its district headquarter in South China manages 10 chain stores of and 6 warehouses in 3 provinces. Each chain store already has its own address system. The client wants to consolidate these systems in a cost-effective way so that the central office can broadcast to any or all of the stores with information such as important announcement, lead speech, or training. The remote broadcast should be allowed for higher priority to interrupt ongoing local broadcast. Proper interfaces should be reserved for future expansion of interconnecting each district headquarters and their chain stores to the country headquarter.

Enterprises Solution Description

Main control room is located in the the district headquarter. Each store or warehouse is a broadcasting zone, totalling 16 broadcasting zones. Transmission is over the Internet; broadcasting points are accessed via ADSL connection. The system is not limited by the physical locations.
  • The control centre can send messages to part or all of the branches. The volume of terminals at each zone/points can be adjusted separately. The central office can distribute sales information of each store to the other stores through the system..
  • Each store can broadcast their own programs or speeches locally. If necessary, the current local broadcast can be interrupted for messages with higher priority.
  • Arbitrary point can receive foreign broadcasts to the workstation, and is authorized, Through server will be transmitted to other receivers.
  • The supported maximum number of terminals is dependent of WAN bandwidth of main control device, meanwhile, each broadcasting point only needs bandwidth as low as 512kbps for which a basic ADSL is sufficient. There is no need to purchase more bandwidth from the ISP.
